If I'm reading this right, 5 mil will be recouped from higher ticket prices. Ok, I have no problem with people who support a hobby paying for it. But the other 5 mil just come out of the general fund which means I get to pay for it like it or not, and the extra irony here is that the lobbyists didn't (publicly) request it.

No good-ole-boy networking going on here, nope.

    Hope it fails the resolution.

Can't be. Republicans don't redistribute the wealth. It goes against their very core for the government to decide the winners and losers in life. The government taking money from one person at gun point and handing it to someone they like better is is, well it is, it's communism. That's socialism. That's all that bad stuff democrats do.

For a real shocker you will find that a substantial amount of casino tax revenue goes to race horse breeders subsidy here in Indiana. Somehow I really don't see how the "sport of kings" requires a hand out from the government, but they get it. With the right law/lobby firm in your corner, you can get money for anything.
